My Obsession: Shorts
I shop the way cows graze; it's a constant process of browsing both online and in person. A few weeks ago I was searching through my closet looking for a comfortable outfit to run errands- this usually consists of shorts and a tee- when I realized I only had ONE PAIR of jean shorts! As you can imagine my I was terrified!
I'm not normally a shorts girl so I guess that's how I got in this predicament in the first place. I quickly rectified the situation by trying on all the denim shorts I could get my hands on!
In a matter of a week I bought 3 pairs of shorts- two from Gap and one from Madewell. I found that I most enjoyed the boyfriend fit because I like my shorts with a longer inseam, low on the hips and loose through the thigh. I try to pair these types of shorts with more feminine pieces including heeled sandals, scarves and jewlery!
Happy 4th!

Easter Sunday
In my mind Easter is the official start to the Spring season so it only natural I would wear something floral, bright and vibrant to welcome the changing of the seasons and beautiful breezy weather (fingers crossed)!
Insta Rewind
Admittedly, its been quite some time since my last post...so I thought I would do a quick rewind of the last few months via Instagram! Enjoy!

My Beloved, D'Orsay Flats
The phrase "better late than never" has never rang more true than today- well at least as it pertains to my blog and fashion identity! The D'Orsay flat may be "so 2013", but I have finally been struck by cupids arrow and they are my must have shoe for this spring!

Revelations & Reflections
After almost two weeks of enjoying the new year I am finally ready to reflect and share my thoughts on 2013. Although, I am not one to make New Year Resolutions I can say that this past year was been especially enlightening; I have learned a great deal about myself, my family and my friends. This was my first year in the "real world"-- no more teachers, no more books--- and I continually wrestled with the question, "What next?".
In 2013 my best friend and I traveled to Spain and Italy for a month to embrace a new culture, taste the food, smell the air and attempt to capture the essence of Europe. I meditated. Reflected. Rebooted. I embraced my own doubts, fears and reservations. And in the end, I came to the conclusion that life is a series of paths all leading in different directions and no one path is "right" as long as I enjoy the journey and follow my happiness I will feel fulfilled. Finally, I have found peace and excitement in the unknown.
Looking back on 2013 makes me smile at the great memories and motivates me to get past the ones I'd like to forget. I have no idea what 2014 has in store for me, but I am ready for my next adventure! It may be two weeks late, but nonetheless....Happy New Year!
Cheers to the New Year!
