Breezy Babe

Like most of my shopping stories- there are too many too count- it all began one fall day when my best friend and I decided to go on a mini shopping trip. My friends usually rely on me for fashion advice and that day was no different. I was explaining to my friend the necessary building block garments that every woman needs in her wardrobe. I was not shopping for myself...or was I? While, she was in the fitting room trying on piles and piles of clothing, I quietly crept over to the sales section (my favorite section at Loft) and found this precious skirt for an incredibly low price! What a steal! Even though I promised myself over and over and over again that I would under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would I buy anything... I had a moment of weakness. This may have been one of my greatest "moments of weakness" because I am beyond pleased with the color, shape and structure of this magnificent maxi skirt.
Although the skirt has an elastic band, I paired it with a belt to break up the black. I wanted to avoid black shoes because I thought that would be too boring; instead I wore my favorite pair of Halogen shoes with a mini wedge and ankle strap- great for the office or running errands.
Skirt: Loft, Shirt: Nordstrom, Shoes: Halogen, Neckalce: Aldo

The pleats in this skirt are well spaced and look wonderful as they blow in the breeze. If you are short and scared that the maxi skirt will swallow you alive- fear no more- if worn properly woman of all shapes and sizes can pull off the maxi skirt. The column shape looks best on shorter women because it elongates the body, keep the colors simplistic and you will look great!
You can clearly tell that I' m freezing in this picture! Its Spring, why is it still chilly?
