Randall's Cosmetic Review: IMAN Cosmetics

When it comes to clothes, I am much more willing to try garments that are colorful with creative patterns rather than bold makeup trends. Usually, my makeup consists of foundation, brown eye pencil, a golden shimmering eye shadow and some nude lip gloss. Occasionally, I will spice things up with a classic red lip or colorful liquid eyeliner, but for the most part I like to play it safe.

The simplicity of the IMAN Sweet Temptations Collection appealed to me because the collections includes glimmering honey, caramel and citrus tones for eyes and cheeks. The collection also has a juicy pop of candy colored hues for lips that works with a variety of complexions.

I am the kind of person that likes to get the negative feedback out of the way first, so my least favorite sample from the collection was the espresso lip pencil. Since, I have never used lip pencil before I recruited my more experienced friends to help me apply it properly.

My lips are already well defined and full, so I found that the pencil only made them look gigantic and clashed with the rest of my makeup. I think if the lip pencil was the same color as one of the lip colors it may have been a good base layer, but otherwise I probably would not use it.

If I were IMAN Cosmetics I would rename the lip pencil to the espresso eyebrow pencil because it is a great shade for an eyebrows. The quality is wonderful, it glides on smoothly and even has a pencil sharpener built into the cap. What a great idea!
Now onto my favorite parts of the collection, I love the luxury lip shimmer; since receiving the package on Monday I have worn the lip shimmer every day!

I have gotten countless compliments on the color because it is subtle while still maintaining its orange hue. The golden shimmer is light and easy to put on quickly without staring in the mirror! Overall, it looks great on my lips so I will continue to wear it every day!
I also paired the lip shimmer with luxury lip colors including, orange, red orange, copper and a rich brown. I found that the lip shimmer over the red or red orange lipstick was incredibly complimentary to my skin tone and made the color more vibrant. The lip colors are also great by themselves so either way the look was a total success. The luxury lip colors are enriched with Vitamin E, which kept my lips hydrated and smooth all day and night!

Lastly, the sheer bronzer powder is enriched with minerals and is a nice addition to any look especially when most of us are counting down the days until we can get back our summer glow!
I have never used bronzer before, but according to Google and YouTube, bronzer is to be put on at the very end of the makeup process.

It should be applied to the areas where the sun would naturally hit your skin, lightly brush it on your nose, cheeks, forehead and chin. Make sure to use bronzer sparingly; it is not concealer. Bronzer is simply used to give every girl the sun kissed look she is dying to have all year.

Lovelies, have you tried any products by IMAN? Which was your favorite?
